These Terms of Service govern your use of the Sun Institute of Media and Technology (SUNIMTECH) platform. By applying to a course, paying any fee or accessing course content, you agree to the terms below.

1. Courses and eligibility

Every course on this platform is a paid course, there is no free tier. To enrol, you submit a free application for a specific course, which an admissions reviewer either approves or declines, except on courses where auto approval has been enabled, in which case approval is instant. You agree to provide accurate information in your application and your account.

2. Acceptance fee

Once your application is approved, you are prompted to pay an acceptance fee, ₦5,000 by default, though the institute may set a different amount for a specific course. This fee covers the cost of reviewing and processing your application and activating your enrolment, and it is non refundable once paid, including if you later decide not to continue the course.

3. Course fee and instalments

The course fee can be paid as a single payment, or split into two flexible instalments with no income verification required. If you choose instalments, your second instalment must be paid in full before any certificate can be issued, and before your course fee status is considered fully settled.

4. The 25 percent access gate

Course content unlocks progressively as you study. Once you reach 25 percent completion, further content is locked until your course fee is paid in full or your first instalment is confirmed. This is an automatic, system enforced checkpoint, not a manual review, and exists to keep the platform sustainable for every student.

5. Refunds

The acceptance fee is non refundable under all circumstances, as described in Section 2. Course fee refund requests made before you reach the 25 percent access gate will be considered, minus any payment processing charges already incurred. Once you have passed the 25 percent gate and accessed the related content, the course fee becomes non refundable, since the corresponding portion of the course has already been delivered to you.

6. Certificates

Reaching 25 percent completion earns a Level 1 badge. Completing 100 percent of course content, with your course fee fully settled, earns a Level 2 certificate bearing SUNIMTECH's letterhead, seal and an instructor or director signature. Every certificate carries a unique code that anyone can use to verify its authenticity on our public verification page. Certificates are issued to the name on your account at the time of issuance, and we do not reissue certificates under a different name after the fact except to correct a genuine error.

7. Public certificate profile

You may optionally opt in to display a public profile, bio, skills and project work, alongside your certificate on the verification page. This is off by default, entirely your choice, and can be turned off at any time from your dashboard.

8. Onsite components

Some courses include onsite, in person components alongside online content. If you enrol in such a course, you agree to attend scheduled onsite sessions as required for that course's attendance and completion record.

9. Intellectual property

Course videos, articles, quizzes and other materials belong to SUNIMTECH and its instructors. Your enrolment grants you a personal licence to access and learn from this material, it does not grant you the right to copy, redistribute, resell or publicly share course content.

10. Conduct

You agree not to share your account credentials or certificate codes to misrepresent someone else's achievement as your own, attempt to bypass the course fee or access gate through technical means, or use the platform for any unlawful purpose.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date above, and where appropriate, communicated to active students by email.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
